Users can update the Google Play Store through the application's settings, by following these steps: [1]
  • Open the Google Play app.
  • Click on the three vertical lines in the search box at the top of the page.
  • Click on "Settings".
  • Scroll down until you reach the About address, then press the Play Store version option to start the update process in the event of new updates to the application, or the user will be notified with a message of its content that the Google Play Store is up to date (Google Play Store is up to date); if no new updates are available.

Users can update the Google Play Store manually through APK tools, and this is done by following these steps: [2]
  • Open the settings app, which is in the form of a gear, then press the Security option.
  • Scroll down until you access the unknown resources option, and place a check mark next to it to install applications that are not from the same version of Google Play.
  • Open any web browser on the device.
  • Download the installer updates for Google Play, located on one of the following two sites:
    • XDA Developers website, which can be accessed by clicking here .
    • Android Police website, which can be accessed by clicking here .
  • Install the APK tool on the phone, by clicking on the download file in the notifications, or going to My Files, then clicking on the Downloads folder, and clicking on the Google Play APK to install it.
  • Click OK when the confirmation message appears, or enable Unknown Sources to confirm the installation of the APK file.
  • After installing the permissions, click on the Install button to install the new version of Google Play.

Users can manually update the Google Play Store by scanning the Play Store app data , which will force the app to update itself, and this is done by following these steps: [3]
  • Open the device settings.
  • Click on the Applications option, and click on the Application Manager option.
  • Click on the Installed apps option, search for and click on the Google Play Store app.
  • Click on "Storage", then click on "Clear Storage / Clear Data" button.
  • Restart the device, and wait 2-3 minutes to allow the Play Store app to start updating itself automatically.
