There are many markets that import Bahrain oil and its petroleum products, the most important of which are: the markets of the Middle East, India, Southeast Asia, Africa and the Far East, knowing that about 95% of refined petroleum products are exported to foreign countries, and the company specializes in the areas of the oil industry that we will mention in this the article.

Bahrain contains an oil refinery from the largest refineries in the Middle East, and it is the oldest refinery in the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, where it repeated more than 267,000 barrels per day of crude oil, knowing that about a sixth of the crude oil from Bahrain field is pumping the remaining amount to The refinery is from Saudi Arabia through a pipeline estimated to be about 27 km in length on land, and about 27 km under the sea before it reaches the northwestern coast of Bahrain.
Bapco spends a lot of money to modernize the refinery and develop it to comply with strict international standards, to reduce the negative impact and damage to the environment, increase its effectiveness and ensure its operational efficiency.


The storage process takes place in more than 170 tanks in different places in the Kingdom of Bahrain, with a total capacity of more than 14 million barrels.


The company produces liquefied petroleum gas, gasoline, aviation fuel, kerosene, naphtha, heavy distillers, diesel oil, fuel oil, and asphalt, knowing that it provides and sells jet fuel at Bahrain International Airport through the Bahrain company dedicated to aviation fuel called Bafco, which was established In the year 1985 AD.

Bahrain field development

It is one of the huge projects that aim to increase the production of the Bahrain oil and gas field to provide additional reserves from the Bahrain field. In April 2009, the National Gas and Oil Authority in the Kingdom of Bahrain signed an agreement for oil development and contribution to oil and gas production in the Bahrain field with some of the following companies : American Occidental Petroleum, Emirates Exchange, and Oil and Gas Holding Company.
According to this agreement, Occidental gets interest at 48%, while Mubadala Emirates gets 32%, while the Holding Company for Oil and Gas gets 20%, and oil production is expected to more than double until it reaches 75 thousand barrels per day within 5 years.
